This is how the gingerbread men are made:
Glue the half-drilled wooden balls (35 mm) onto the terracotta pots with the hole facing downwards. Glue two 20 mm wooden balls each to the sides of the pots as arms. Use hot glue for this.
When the glue has dried, paint everything with terracotta coloured craft paint. Let it dry thoroughly and apply another coat if necessary.
Important: the individual layers of paint should always be completely dry before applying another.
Use the white acrylic marker to paint on the "sugar icing". It is advisable to delicately sketch this in advance with a pencil.
Now give the gingerbread men a face!
First glue on the wiggly eyes with craft glue.
To make the faces look cute, the eyes should be stuck fairly centrally on the ball. The distance between them is also important; they should not be too close, but not too far apart either.
Use a fineliner to add the mouth, nose (two delicate dots), eyelashes, moustache and the laughing eyes & winking eye. Finally, complete the faces with pink cheeks (the thick tip of a bamboo skewer is great for this).
Finally, glue on the bows with craft glue and you're done!
Have fun making them :-)
