Christmas spirit is here! This beautiful light chain is decorated with crocheted houses and is sure to find a great place in your home.

This is how the fairy lights are designed:

dc = solid stitch

To crochet a house proceed as follows:

Row 1: Cast on 11 LM+ cast on 1 LM as turning stitch

Row 2: 11 dc + 1 LM as turning stitch

Row 3: 11 dc + 2 LM as turn stitches

Row 4: 11 tr + 2 LM as turning stitches

Row 5: 3 tr, 2 LM, 1 tr, 2 LM, 3 tr + 2 LM turning sts.

Row 6: 3 tr, 2 LM, 1 tr, 2 LM, 3 tr + 1 LM as turn stitch

Row 7: 11 dc + 1 LM as turning stitch

Row 8: 2 dc crochet together, 7 dc, 2 dc crochet together + 1 LM turning stitch.

Row 9: 9 dc + 1 LM as turning stitch

Row 10: Crochet 2 dc together, 5 dc, crochet 2 dc together + 1 LM turning stitch.

Row 11: 7 dc + 1 LM as turning stitch

Row 12: Crochet 2 dc together, 3 dc, crochet 2 dc together + 1 LM turning stitch.

Row 13: 5 dc + 1 LM as turning stitch

Row 14: Crochet 2 dc together, 1 dc, crochet 2 dc together + 1 LM turning stitch.

Row 15: 3 dc + 1 LM as turning stitch.

Row 16: Crochet 2 dc together, crochet 2 dc together (NOTE: the middle dc of the previous row is worked twice here!
2 times here!) + 1 LM as turning stitch.

Row 17: 2 dc + 1 LM as turning stitch

Row 18: Crochet 2 dc together.
Crochet as many houses as you like in this way. In our example there are 9 houses. Do not sew or shorten the thread too much at the tip of the roof. This will be used for fastening later.

Crochet a chain of air stitches around the fairy lights (pass the thread alternately to the right and left of the fairy lights).

Thread a button onto the thread at the top of each house and then sew the house to the chain of lights using the needle.

Trim and sew any excess thread ends.
