This is how the pretty decoration is sewn:
All seam allowances are 1 cm and are already included in the pattern. All not so thick cotton fabrics, jersey, sweat or fleece fabrics are suitable.
Print out the patterns and transfer them to your desired fabrics. Then cut out the pattern pieces.
Place the pattern pieces for the mushroom hat right sides together, baste them together and topstitch along the outer edge. Leave a turnaround opening. Secure the beginning and end of the seam well with back stitches.
Place the mushroom foot right sides together and topstitch along the side seam. Stitch the foot to the bottom all around. Tip: This works best when the bottom is lying smoothly on the sewing machine table and the foot is placed on top.
Turn hat and foot right sides out.
Stuff the hat with batting and close the opening by hand.
Put a little sand in the foot first for stability and then fill it up with cotton wool.
At the foot, pull in a thread by hand about 0.5 cm from the top edge, crimp the top edge and sew the thread tight.
Then hand-stitch the hat to the foot.
Decorate the mushrooms with ribbons and arrange them on the tray together with moss, painted scatter pieces and acorns.
