And this is how it works
Roll the Lampshade over a sheet of paper and make a Stencil, by marking the outline of the lampshade. Transfer this Stencil to the basic fabric of the lamp, cut out the fabric with 0.5 cm seam allowance. For stabilization, iron the Fabric cut on the rough side of the iron-on fleece.
Fold the upper edge of the fabric inwards and fix it with tape. Now the fabric is sewn together to form the cover and the seam allowances are ironed apart.
For the pleated tape from the second fabric, cut a strip of fabric measuring 8 x 132 cm, fold it lengthwise and sew the edges together. Now make 1 cm wide folds at a distance of 2 cm and stitch them to the seam (see photo).
The finished pleat tape is sewn under the main lamp fabric so that the ends meet at the joint edge.
