It's so easy to design a crib
Prime terracotta pots of Ø 4 cm in the colours ice blue and grey brown. Then, using hot glue, glue a 3 cm Ø wooden ball as the heads on each of the clay pots (on the hole at the bottom of the clay pot).
Cut small rectangles (approx. 18 x 6 cm) from craft felt and shape them into headdresses. Fold the cut-out pieces over a little and put them around the wooden balls as a test first. If you like the headdress, fix it to the head with hot glue and wrap a small decorative cord around each head.
To make the baby Jesus, cut a small felt circle (approx. Ø 5 cm) and wrap it around a small wooden ball (Ø 12 mm) so that it looks like a little head sticking out of a bundle. Fix everything in place with glue and then stick it in a small pot (approx. Ø 3 cm) lined with a little straw.
Then paint the faces on the wooden balls: just use a paint marker to paint black dots as eyes, bigger dots to paint pink cheeks and put white glitter dots inside each one. Now you can glue the finished figures as well as the potty with the Jesusking on a bark plate.
Decorate the small nativity scene further with straw and moss or other decorations to suit your personal taste.
Finally, make a star for a special touch: Draw the star shape on a piece of paper and bend the star out of 2 mm aluminium wire with the help of your template and a pair of jewellery pliers, bend the remaining piece of your wire similar to the one in the picture. Shorten the wire if necessary and fix it to the bark. The glued area can be concealed well and decoratively with a little moss.
