This is how you make the stars:
First put the straws in water for at least 10 minutes. This will make the straws more flexible and they will not break so easily when you work with them.
To lay the stars, it is best to use laying moulds so that the stars do not become crooked. These shapes are included in the straw stars craft kit.
After the straws have been laid, they are tied or knotted as shown in the photo. The ends are shortened at an angle.
Then the stars can be coloured. In our example, we spray-painted the stars in light grey and gold and, after they had dried, set off the tips with craft paint.
You can use a thread or, as in our example, wire to hang the stars.
