These pretty little jars with homemade oilcloth covers look great on the colourful board and sweeten your breakfast just by looking at them.

Design the wooden board with craft paints and liners. Let the colours dry completely.

Cut 15 x 15 cm pieces of fabric and treat them with TexWax according to the instructions on the package. Once the TexWax has been applied, apply heat (hair dryer or iron) to the fabric. This will cause the wax to be absorbed into the fibres of the fabric, making it a reusable and breathable cover. The small cloths can be shaped by the heat of your hands.

Now cut the pieces of fabric into circles with a 9 cm diameter. These can be used as covers for the jars.

The jars can be filled with jam and the homemade covers are a great gift. If you wish, you can also decorate the jars with sprinkles and ribbons. You have already created a little present.
