This is how the firs are created:
First carve the middle round sticks at the top on both sides and the side round sticks only on one side to form a wedge. Now glue the side round sticks to the middle ones with hot glue. Since these were carved by you before, this works wonderfully.
The next step is to wrap the frame with the desired paper wire. Start in the middle with the following sequence: wrap once, wrap once on the right, wrap once in the middle, wrap once on the left, wrap once in the middle, wrap once on the right, wrap once in the middle, wrap once on the left.... Repeat this process for all the firs. Glue the ends of the side round sticks with craft glue so that the wire does not come off.
Finally, shorten the middle round sticks to any length and glue them into the wooden discs. Now you can paint and glue the stars.
