Our cute butterflies look great and are fun to make for both young and old. With only a few materials, the butterflies can be designed in your desired colours. Adults and children can let their imagination run wild and children train fine motor skills and their ability to concentrate.
This is how the butterflies are made:
Glue the wooden sticks together to form an X.
Fold a chenille wire in the middle, twist it about 3 cm and place it in the middle of the wooden stick-X. Twist again and thread first the smaller, then the larger wooden ball over both ends.
Now form antennae with the chenille wire and shorten if necessary.
Wrap embroidery twist in your chosen colours around the wings, fixing the ends of the thread to the wooden sticks with craft glue. It is best to work from the inside out.
Glue on the eyes and draw a mouth with a fineliner.
The butterflies can be hung up with a thread, for example sewing thread, perlon thread or similar. To do this, tie the thread between the two wooden balls.
