Everywhere you look, you can see bubble candles in a variety of colours and sizes. The bubble candles create a cosy atmosphere when they burn and are also a great decorative object for your home. You can also easily make the trendy candles yourself. We explain how it works in our instructions.
This is how the bubble candles are made:
Amount of wax for candle mould Bubble Large: approx. 240 g Amount of wax for candle mould Bubble Small: approx. 50 g
Important: The wax must not be heated above 60°C, otherwise it will decompose and the candle will have unevenness or even crumble when it is removed from the mould!
First pierce the centre of the mould with a pointed object, such as an awl, and pull the wick through this hole. If you like, you can already shorten the wick at both ends.
The next step is to melt the wax. Be sure to use a thermometer, as the wax must never be heated above 60°C! To colour the wax, you can use either candle drops or wax dyes. The difference is that the candle drops colour the wax rather lightly and already contain fragrances. The wax colours, on the other hand, are unscented but very colourful, so you can colour your candles dark.
After the wax has been melted and coloured, pour it into the moulds. Make sure that the wick is in the middle. You can use a bamboo skewer, for example, and place it on the mould so that the wick is centred.
After the drying time, the finished candles can be removed from the mould. If you haven't shortened the wicks yet, you can do so now. Your decorative bubble candles are ready.
