Designing a bird house with mosaic
1. First paint the bird house with craft colours. We chose the colours ivory and terracotta. Let the colours dry completely.
2. Spray the bird house with clear varnish. The clear varnish fixes the colour application and protects against environmental influences. The varnish is completely dry after approx. 24 hours.
3. Now start laying the mosaic: For this, glue the natural stones onto the bird house with mosaic glue. If necessary, you can break up the stones with the mosaic tongs. Important: Wear protective goggles to avoid injuries. Let the glue dry.
4. Mix some grout with water and spread it between the stones with a soft brush. After approx. 8-10 minutes of bonding time, you can wipe the remaining grout off the stones with a damp sponge.
5. For a long-lasting result, apply a final coat of grout finish to the mosaic.
